Get Ready - Mobile & Web
You have to get ready for any situation. Get Ready is a public service designed to educate and empower the American people to prepare for, respond to and mitigate emergencies, including natural and man-made disasters.
Project Overview
What we are looking for with this application is to provide users with the necessary information so that they are prepared for any natural phenomenon or weather event so that they can not only know what to do before, but also during and after while supporting other people your community to be prepared.
My Contributions
As a UX Designer I built the first version of the app, and kept working on it through multiple iterations.
The project has a length of 3 months and the target audience is family leaders, community leaders, and young adults seeking to get involved in their community's affairs

The challenge
The problem is that people do not have a simple, clear and reliable source of information to learn what to do before, during and after a weather event. As a result of this, many people who live in areas where climatic events occur, lose family members, jobs and their belongings.
The solution
Provide adequate information through a mobile application / website that can be consumed by users and help mitigate the damage caused by weather events.

Research and Study
My research was based on interviews where the intention was to understand what people has to face when there is weather event I tried their experience, feelings and concerns. Some of the ideas that we already had in mind was that people were not ready to deal with weather events and that every year they had to live fear. These assumptions turned out to be true.
Design, concepts, protoypes & takeaways
We realized that a critical factor was the need to protect their family while also wanting to do something for their community. That were the findings when interviewing people. We spent the time on this project was spent designing and going through all phases of the design project, from user research, to wireframes, UI design and prototypes.
